The Island of Sumilon is located at the southeastern tip of the Municipality of Oslob in the province of Cebu. It is the first marine protected area in the Philippines and was created as a marine sanctuary in 1974. The island is famous throughout the country and internationally for the exceptional beauty of its snorkeling and diving sites thanks to their superb visibility, stunning reefs and abundance of varied tropical marine species. When taking a closer look at the coral-laden precipices, one can notice small nudibranchs and flatworms dressed in psychedelic colors, as well as perfectly camouflaged scorpionfish and lion fish lurking in rocky crevices. A popular attraction in Sumilon Island is its sandbar. It changes shapes and shifts locations around the island depending on the season. For an island its size, Sumilon is a haven for outdoor fun and adventure. Please explore all the destinations included in our packages in the menu on the left.
